Technical Sales Engineer

Summary

We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer who will play a pivotal role in our sales team's success. You will collaborate closely with our sales team to drive revenue growth, exceed sales targets, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. This position requires a technical understanding of HVAC products and systems, effective time management and excellent communication skills.

• Generate selections and customer quotes for all the products that we represent, including but not limited to RGDs, VAVs, Fans, and Mechanical Equipment
• Download drawings, specifications, schedules, and details
• Perform accurate “take-offs” electronically using Planswift
• Process stock and factory orders for customers
• Answer phone calls and email requests from clients relating to quotations, order processing, order tracking, freight claims, product availability, field service, and warranties
• Follow established sales processes and procedures at Buckley
• Maintain knowledge of HVAC fundamentals and product lines
• Maintain a working understanding of all the products on our line card by consistently participating in factory and Buckley technical training offerings
• Fulfill customer product and service needs by utilizing product knowledge and soliciting help from other team members and other internal resources
• Demonstrate ability to multitask
• Effective organizational skills with attention to detail
• General understanding and knowledge of selling principles
• Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
• Energetic and effective salesperson with a positive attitude that is conscientious, enthusiastic, articulate, and possesses a professional attitude to handle a fast‑paced work environment
• Perform quality work and meet deadlines without direct supervision
• Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers
• Work effectively as a team member
• Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred but not required. Five or more years of relevant experience may suffice in lieu of a degree.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook

• Monday‑Friday 8:00 am‑5:00 pm, in the Rockland, MA office
