Yard Associate

• Maintain a positive public image of the company with appropriate personal conduct and by operating company vehicles and equipment in a safe, professional, and courteous manner
• Create a positive and rewarding customer experience
• Assist with loading/unloading materials to and from delivery trucks with compact loader, skid steer, Moffett, or by hand up to 50lbs
• Assist with customer transactions on the POS system as needed
• Prepare delivery orders with accuracy and efficiency
• Work closely with the delivery team to ensure deliveries are completed
• Care for company vehicles and equipment to company standards and complete daily maintenance, inspections, and cleaning
• Monitor traffic flow on company premises to ensure safety
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
• Participate and comply in Rocklands Health and Safety program
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of retail sales experience
• 1-2 years of experience in operating skid steer and compact loader
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Class 5 driver’s license
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Ability to work independently and at times with little to no supervision
• Ability to be a team player and contribute to the success of the Rockland team

• WHMIS certification

Job Types: Full-time Seasonal

Salary: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour

• On-site parking
• French not required

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Compact Loader Operation: 1 year (required)
• Customer service: 1 year (required)
