APD Coordinator

Salary: $57,000/year

Position Summary

The APD Coordinator provides support to the APD Manager across Circuits 9 and 18. This position will coordinate services and support case management for individuals served through the Agency for Persons with Disabilities. This role focuses on gathering and organizing documentation, and participating in staffings related to children who may qualify for services. The APD Coordinator will build relationships with and collaborate with our case management agencies.

Technical/Functional

Expectations
  • Gather, review and organize required documentation related to the child's eligibility.
  • Assist the APD Manager in preparing the case material for review of eligibility.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records on each child.
  • Attend staffing meetings related to children who may qualify for APD services.
  • Provide administrative and programmatic support during staffing discussions.
  • Assist in tracking and follow up tasks/recommendations from the staffings.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with the case management organizations.
  • Help track program data and outcomes as requested by the APD Manager.
  • Provide general administrative support to the APD Manager.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, Human Services, Public Administration, or a closely related field required; master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years' experience in child welfare with a strong emphasis on out-of-home care and/or placement services.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Florida Child Welfare Statutes, including Chapter 39, as well as applicable administrative codes and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the Agency for Persons with Disabilities.
  • Valid Driver's license and ability to travel through assigned circuits and other locations as required.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to develop, analyze, and present management reports in a clear, concise, and effective manner.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
