Contract Details- Position Type: Contract
- Contract Duration: 6 months
- Pay Rate: $22.79 $ 24.41 / Hour (USD)
- Shift / Schedule: Must be able to cover the following M F shifts: 5:30 AM 2:30 PM, 6:00 AM 3:00 PM, or 6:30 AM 3:30 PM. Saturday rotations will be staffed at the VNH Rockledge site 6:30 AM 12:30 PM. No overtime. Travel time will be reduced from the daily schedule. Once fully trained, candidates will be provided a weekly schedule.
Candidates will be required to work at all sites in the territory depending on staffing scheduled or unscheduled at the sites. - Travel Requirements: Travel required to work multiple locations; required to cover Patient Service Center/In-Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal notice. Floaters travel between multiple sites and are expected to be on time at whatever site they are covering for that day. Paid mileage (minus travel miles to and from base site and home address); paid travel time (minus travel time to and from base site and home address).
Home site will be VNH Rockledge. - Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions. The PSR II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The PSR II has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
The PSR II will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information. Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service center or as business needs dictate.
- Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Perform with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
- Perform verification of patient demographic info / initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.
- Ability to provide quality, error free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
- Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

- Keyboard/data entry experience.
- Must have excellent attendance.
- 1 3 years phlebotomy experience REQUIRED, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
- 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
- Customer service in a retail or service environment STRONGLY preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED.
- Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
