Welder Fitter

Job Description

Craftsmen Contractors is currently seeking a skilled and dependable Certified Welder/Fitter to join our team. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, have a strong work ethic, and can produce high-quality fabrication and welding in a safe, fast-paced environment.

Position Details:

• Full-time position
• Monday through Friday
• Occasional Saturdays as needed
• Competitive pay based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
• Fit and weld structural steel and other metal components
• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding as required
• Measure, cut, and assemble materials to specifications
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality standards are met
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area

Qualifications:

• Current welding certification required
• Previous experience as a Welder/Fitter
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Knowledge of welding techniques and metal fabrication
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment
