Home Health RN in Rockledge, FL

A Registered Nurse with home health expertise is needed for a contract opportunity in Rockledge, FL. This role focuses on adult post-operative surgical home health care, encompassing orthopedic and general care patients. Ideal candidates will have recent Medicare home health experience and strong skills in EPIC and OASIS documentation systems.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active Florida State RN license or compact license at submission
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in home health, recent Medicare home health exposure required
• Experience caring for adult patients with post-op surgical needs, especially orthopedic and general surgery
• Proficiency in EPIC and OASIS platforms is mandatory
• BLS certification required
• Experience with pleur

• Ability to provide two recent professional references (within the last year) from managerial or supervisory figures
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (medical/religious exemptions only)

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing comprehensive post-operative home health nursing care to adult patients
• Managing caseloads of approximately 27-30 patients
• Documenting patient care accurately using EPIC and OASIS
• Participating in weekend rotations and being on-call as required
• Following all safety and infection control protocols, including vaccination requirements
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient recovery and outcomes

Schedule & Hours:

• Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
• Weekend rotation: 5 weekend shifts every 6 weeks

This contract guarantees contracted hours and allows for flexible opportunities within the home health environment. Scrubs in any solid color are acceptable.
