Senior Accountant

This role supports a growing accounting team by managing key components of the monthly close cycle, with a strong emphasis on lease‑related activity. The Senior Accountant will review data prepared by junior staff, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and maintain accurate financial records. They will work closely with cross‑functional partners to gather information, analyze variances, and support ongoing operational needs. The position also plays a part in staff development, helping guide less‑experienced team members while maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness.

• Partner with internal teams to collect and validate information tied to lease activity
• Review lease entries and classifications to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Calculate and monitor right‑of‑use assets and lease liabilities
• Oversee monthly rent‑related processes and assist with landlord communication
• Reconcile lease expenses and perform variance analysis
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations with proper supporting documentation
• Prepare recurring and ad‑hoc journal entries and review entries from junior staff
• Support AR specialists and contribute to team leadership
• Train and mentor staff accountants to strengthen team capabilities
• Ensure assigned close tasks are completed on schedule
• Assist with audit preparation and provide requested documentation
• Handle additional accounting duties as needed

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and hands‑on experience with complex accounting processes
• Direct experience working with lease accounting, especially under ASC 842
• Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reconciliations
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including exposure to month‑end close
• Excellent communication abilities and high attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment

• Experience mentoring junior accounting staff or supporting AR functions
