Requirements / QualificationsInternal Applicants:

Must possess the required level of education in order to obtain the appropriate authorization from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) for the position. Must possess an appropriate California teaching credential or the ability to obtain alternative certification authorizing specialized services to students with deaf/hard of hearing impairments or the ability to obtain alternative certification. Must possess of or have the ability to obtain English Learner Authorization.
Possess documentation of American Sign Language Proficiency Interview (ASLPI)/Sign Language Proficiency Interview minimum score of 4.0 or equivalent assessment. If hired, must provide proof of a valid California driver's license. Required Documents:
- Copy of Transcript (Proof of Bachelor's degree)
- Credential Copy (California Teaching Credential authorizing specialized services to students with deaf/hard of hearing impairments)
- English Learner Authorization (Proof of or have the ability to obtain English Learners Authorization)
- Letter of Introduction
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (Two Letters of Recommendation are required-each letter must be dated and have a signature)
- Resume
- Test Results/Materials (ASLPI/Sign Language Proficiency Interview score 4.0)
