Program Specialist – Special Education Resource Lead / Open Access
Full‑time position reporting to the SELPA Administrator with direct supervision from the designated manager(s). The role interacts with Local Educational Agencies (LEAs), the Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA), and County Office of Education (COE) administrators, educators, and improvement team members across the state, providing content support and continuous improvement through technical assistance in Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Augmentative/Alternative Communication (AAC), and Assistive (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). content support and continuous improvement through technical assistance in UDL, AAC, and AT implementation.
- Position is grant‑funded through June 30, 2027; continuation depends on funding and satisfactory performance.
- Training in behavior management and specialized academic instruction.
- Must possess one of the following credentials: valid California Special Education teaching credential, valid California Clinical or Rehabilitative Services credential in Speech and Language, or valid California Pupil Personnel Services credential with school psychology authorization.
- Must provide proof of a valid California Driver’s License if hired.
- EDJOIN application.
- Copy of Transcript (Master’s degree required).
- Credential Copy (one of the above credentials).
- Letter of Introduction.
- Letters of Recommendation (2 required with signature and date).
- Resume.
