Program Specialist – Special Education Resource Lead/Open Access
Full time.
General PurposeA Program Specialist – Special Education Resource Lead/Open Access reports to the SELPA Administrator and works under the direct supervision of the designated manager(s). This position interacts with Local Educational Agencies (LEA), Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA), and County Office of Education (COE) administrators, educators, and improvement team members across the state. Responsibilities include providing content support and continuous improvement efforts through technical assistance in the areas of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Augmentative/Alternative Communication (AAC), and Assistive (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).
/ Qualifications
This position is grant funded and will continue as long as funding is available. The current grant is funded through June 30, 2027.

- Training in behavior management and specialized academic instruction
- Must possess one of the following credentials:
- Valid California Special Education teaching credential
- Valid California Clinical or Rehabilitative Services credential in Speech and Language
- Valid California Pupil Personnel Services credential with school psychology authorization - Proof of a valid California Driver’s License (if hired)
- Copy of Transcript (Master’s degree required)
- Credential copy (as listed above)
- Letter of Introduction
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (2 letters required with signature and dated)
- Resume
