Qualifications &
Experience:
- Current School Psychologist credential or eligibility in California
- Experience working with elementary-aged students (TK-5 preferred)
- Familiarity with Special Day Class (SDC) environments and learning support frameworks
- Strong skills in conducting educational assessments and developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration with teachers, administrators, and parents
- Commitment to supporting student emotional, behavioral, and academic growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer cognitive, behavioral, and academic assessments for students in TK-5
- Participate in and facilitate IEP meetings, providing clear reports and recommendations
- Deliver direct counseling and intervention services as needed
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to create supportive learning environments
- Engage with families to discuss student progress and strategies for success
- Aid in the development of individualized strategies for students in various SDC and learning support contexts
