Paraprofessional Position

District employees actively working in the SAME JOB CLASSIFICATION must complete a Classified District Transfer Request Form, which is available on our website at Human Resources / Employment. All other District employees must apply online through Ed-Join using a password-protected, In-District Application. Attachments must be scanned and submitted through Ed-Join.

Paraprofessional Requirements:
1. High School diploma or the equivalent, AND 2. Two years of college - 48 units (attach evidence), OR 3. A.A. degree or higher - (attach evidence), OR 4. Pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction. If you are using education to meet the requirements for this position, your College Transcripts or Diploma MUST be attached to your application on EdJoin.
Applicants who have not previously met these requirements are welcome to apply, but if selected for an interview, will be contacted by Human Resources prior to their interview to take a Paraprofessional test at the District Office. IF AVAILABLE - Attach ONE of the following to application:
- Copy of Transcript (If available: Para Test, NCLB Test, CBEST or CSET)
- Test Results/Materials (OR Diploma: showing AA degree or higher, or 48 units)
