Role DescriptionOur studio is hiring a part-time dance instructor to teach Acro and/or Hip Hop classes. This is a great opportunity for an experienced, passionate teacher looking for a flexible, part-time role with a growing, supportive studio.
Instructor will lead engaging group classes for children and teens, providing clear instruction in technique, musicality, and performance quality. Instructor will create a safe, structured, and encouraging environment, with particular attention to proper acro technique and spotting. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning class curricula, selecting age-appropriate music, demonstrating movements safely, and offering constructive feedback to support student progress. The teacher will maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment, communicate with families as needed about student development, and collaborate with staff on studio events and performances.
This is a part-time, on-site role based in Rocklin, CA, requiring consistent weekly availability during after-school and/or weekend hours.
- Ability to provide high-quality Dance Instruction and Dance Education, with specific experience in Acro Dance and Hip Hop.
- Demonstrated Teaching skills, including classroom management, lesson planning, and age-appropriate guidance.
- Strong foundation in Dance technique and performance, with an understanding of safe acrobatic practices.
- Sensitivity to Music, rhythm, and musicality in choreography and class structure.
- Previous experience teaching in a studio or school setting, preferably with children and youth.
- Knowledge of injury prevention, warm-up and conditioning suitable for acrobatic work.
- Clear, supportive communication skills and the ability to foster an inclusive, encouraging learning environment.
- Reliable, punctual, comfortable working with children and teens, and able to collaborate effectively with studio leadership and fellow instructors.
- Relevant training or certifications in dance, acrobatics, or education are an asset.
- CPR/First Aid certification a plus (or willingness to obtain)
