Sierra College Dual Enrollment Program

Applications are kept on file for 2 years after the initial submission. Interviews are held from November through February, with final hiring decisions made no later than March 2027. All newly offered instructors are required to undergo training prior to the start of their teaching assignment. We appreciate your interest in the Sierra College Dual Enrollment Program! This application is intended for teachers currently employed by one of Sierra College's partner high school districts.

Applications from individuals who are not employed by a Sierra College partner district will not be considered.

Minimum Qualifications

• Dual Enrollment Instructors must meet minimum qualification requirements set forth by the California Community College Chancellor's Office.

Equivalency Information

• If a candidate does not outright meet the stated minimum qualification requirements, they may apply for equivalency. In this process, a committee gathers and reviews the documentation. They evaluate the classes you have taken and your relevant experience and skills to see if it is equivalent or can substitute the minimum qualifications required for the position.

Deadline Sierra College accepts applications through September 30, 2026. Offer and acceptance is subject to verification of all information provided on the employment application, credentials, transcripts, as required. Verification of prior employment (teaching or work experience) may be needed to determine minimum qualifications met. Copies of transcripts with conferred date MUST be attached to the application (photocopies & unofficial transcripts are accepted).

Individuals who have completed college or university course work at an institution in a country other than the United States must obtain a complete evaluation of foreign transcripts, degrees and other relevant documents. Foreign transcript evaluation is required any time foreign course work is used to meet minimum qualifications and/or salary placement even if the foreign transcript has been accepted by a college or university in the United States.
