Position SummaryThe Project Engineer I is an entry‑level role supporting both office and field operations by assisting with project planning, coordination, documentation, and execution in alignment with budget, schedule, and contract requirements. This position applies engineering principles in soils mechanics, hydraulics, structural theory, and surveying while gaining hands‑on field experience. Working closely with project managers, superintendents, and field teams, the Project Engineer I ensures project efficiency, compliance, and quality while upholding Forgen's Core Values and safety culture.

Key Responsibilities Office Tasks- Assist in the development of project cost estimates, proposals, and material take‑offs.
- Perform technical analysis of the remediation methodologies of various previously remediated projects.
- Perform other administrative or office duties as required or as assigned.
- Travel to project sites as necessary for extended durations.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Prepare project submittals.
- Maintain project record documents.
- Perform technical review of contract plans and specifications.
- Provide oversight and documentation related to project quality control in accordance with the contract plans, specifications, and company policies and procedures.
- Prepare daily construction reports and progress tracking.
- Manage, interpret, and perform site surveying.
- Assist with the management of subcontractors.
- Assist with the procurement or rental of equipment and materials.
- Assist Project Manager with project daily cost reporting and tracking.
- Perform additional assignments and special projects as directed.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 0‑3 years of experience in construction or engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic project management software.
