Position: Director of Staff Development
# Director of Staff Development (DSD)### Whitney Oaks Care Center | Rocklin, CA
** Pay: $45–$48/hour
** Whitney Oaks Care Center is looking for a
** Director of Staff Development (DSD)
** to join our team!

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and helping others succeed. As our DSD, you'll play a key role in developing and supporting our clinical team through education, training, and ongoing professional development. Your work will directly impact the quality of care we provide and help create a positive, supportive environment for both staff and residents.

If you're an RN or LVN with long-term care experience and a passion for developing others, we'd love to hear from you!## ## What You'll Do
* Coordinate and oversee staff education, orientation, and ongoing training programs
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility training requirements
* Plan, develop, and conduct in-service education programs
* Support onboarding and mentorship of new employees
* Maintain training records and documentation
* Monitor staff competencies and provide coaching as needed
* Assist with regulatory surveys and quality improvement initiatives
* Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify educational needs and performance improvement opportunities
* Foster a culture of learning, teamwork, and excellence in resident care## ## Qualifications
* Current California RN or LVN license in good standing
* Long-term care or skilled nursing experience required
* Previous staff development, education, leadership, or supervisory experience preferred
* Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
* Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to skilled nursing facilities
* Passion for teaching, mentoring, and helping others grow professionally
