Assistant Sales Manager
The Niello Company is seeking an Assistant Sales Manager to support our sales team and drive customer satisfaction. Candidates should bring strong communication skills, a professional appearance, and a proactive approach to meeting company production and quality standards.
Qualifications- Driver’s License
- Clean DMV record
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- Professional personal appearance
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills

- Basic technology skills (Email, Microsoft Office, Mobile Device, etc.)
- Spend time outdoors in weather and elements
- Spend time indoors in air‑conditioned areas

- Bending, twisting and/or stooping infrequently
- Kneeling and/or squatting infrequently

- Determine management, production and quality requirements by asking questions and listening
- Attend company meetings as required
- Maintain a follow‑up system that encourages follow through with assigned projects
- Establish personal performance goals consistent with company standards of productivity and devise a strategy to meet those goals
- Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively
- Understand the terminology of the business and keep abreast of technology changes in products and services
- Know and understand the federal, state and local requirements governing the company’s business
- Follow lawful directions from supervisors
- Understand and follow work rules and procedures

- Interact well with others and be a positive influence on employee morale
- Uphold the company’s non‑disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements
- Work evening, weekend and holiday hours as required
- Assist in directing and scheduling the activities of all sales employees, ensuring proper staffing at all times
- Ensure each customer is greeted quickly
- Assist in implementing and maintaining a prospect tracking and follow‑up system, including confirming appointments
- Desk deal when sales manager is non‑on‑duty
- Assist with factory orders when asked, placing orders for salespeople, amending and helping the sales manager place order calls
- Ensure dealership and car display are kept clean, neat and tidy and that cars are displayed properly morning and evening depending on shift worked
- Help salespeople close deals when necessary
- Communicate with new‑vehicle and used‑vehicle salespeople to ensure dealership policies and procedures are understood and followed
- Conduct sales training meetings as directed by the sales manager
- Assist the sales manager in developing improvement programs for salespeople who are having difficulty reaching their objectives
- Ensure salespeople maintain a high customer satisfaction rating
- Finance and prepare and execute F&I paperwork when Finance Manager is not on duty
- Follow up with CIT documents and work with banks on getting deals bought and funded

Compensation Range By PositionThe expected pay for this position is $68,640 per year plus a bonus up to $160,000 per year and may vary based on location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonuses or commissions.
