ECORP has an immediate need for field and monitoring archaeologists for projects in Northern California.
Responsibilities depend upon the project and largely include construction monitoring, but may also include pedestrian survey, site mapping and recording, excavation, and other duties as assigned. Work durations range from a few days to four weeks, depending on the project, with the potential for 40 hours a week from June through October.
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology or other closely related field, successful completion of an archaeological field school or field methods course at an accredited university in the United States, and at least 1 year of full-time professional experience.
Wages are based on level of education, relevant experience, and quality of references. Bachelor’s Degree wage range is $25 to $27/hour. Master’s Degree in Anthropology, and Registered Professional Archaeologists' wage range starts at $30/hour.
All positions include paid mileage between ECORP’s closest office and the project location and, when overnight stays are required, hotel and per diem.
These are temporary non-benefited positions.
