The Rockport Police Department is seeking motivated individuals to join its combined Police, Fire, and EMS Communications Center as a Civilian Dispatcher.

As a Dispatcher, you’ll serve as the lifeline between the public and first responders—receiving emergency and non-emergency calls, assessing critical information, prioritizing incidents, and coordinating the response of police, fire, and EMS personnel.

This is a fast-paced, high-impact role for individuals who can think clearly under pressure, communicate effectively, and remain calm when others can’t. Eligible applicants must meet the following requirements for consideration:

• Must have the ability to work the 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM shift, or the 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM shift, with flexibility to work varied shifts and hours depending upon the needs of the department.
• High School Diploma is required, Associate's Degree is preferred.

Salary:

• $27.60/hour (effective July 1, 2026)
