Careers At First Community BankThe position of Universal Teller is responsible for performing routine branch and customer service duties; accepts consumer and commercial checking and savings deposits; processes loan payments; cashes checks and savings withdrawals; promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services. This position also assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as, all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
This position will include some Head Teller responsibilities:
- Oversee the teller line and assist other tellers with more complex tasks, and approve exception transactions.
- Must be fully knowledgeable and skilled in areas of teller, vault and ATM Operations.
- Maintain responsibility for vault and the auditing, reporting and balancing of cash drawers
- Ensure that tellers are trained and comply with all regulatory and security policies and procedures
Position Requirements
Graduation from high school (or equivalent).
Minimum of 2 years direct experience in cash handling is required.
Customer experience preferred.
Experience in teller operations is preferred.
Must be computer proficient.
Basic math skills; calculate interest and balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; count currency, coin and negotiable instruments in a timely manner.
