Location:

Rockport, TX. Salary: $17.34 per hour.

Performs daily maintenance and custodial operations in County Courthouse and other County buildings.

• Directs:
  This is a non-supervisory position.
• Other contacts:
  Has contact with the general public, co-workers, other County employees, and officials.

• Check all HVAC in Jail, Courthouse, Public Safety Center, and other assigned buildings for routine and preventative maintenance including changing filters periodically.
• Clean bathrooms, including using commercial chemicals to remove stains, strip, and wax floors.
• Perform woodworking and light building maintenance at County facilities.
• Adjust cameras at Jail and clean lenses.
• Clean windows and work showers at jail and Public Safety Center.
• Change light bulbs and ballast.
• Maintain door locks at County buildings.
• Perform light carpentry duties.
• Perform plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Must be able to safely move 60 lbs.
• Must be able to safely operate custodial power equipment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively orally, including giving and receiving instructions.
• Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the general public.
• Must pass medical, drug screen, and criminal background check furnished by the department.
• Must be able to read, understand and perform mathematical calculations to safely operate equipment and use cleaning chemicals.
• Must be knowledgeable of safe techniques to properly use hand tools, power tools and other specialized equipment.
• Must be punctual and dependable for work shifts assigned.

Maintain valid Class C Texas driver's license and good driving record.
