Pay is based on experience.

Performs daily custodial and maintenance operations in County buildings.

• Reports to:
  
  Facilities Maintenance Director.
• Directs:
  This is a non-supervisory position.
• Other contacts:
  Has contact with the general public, co-workers, other County employees, and officials.

• Clean offices and public areas including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and disposing of trash.
• Clean bathrooms using commercial chemicals.
• Perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Perform light building maintenance and woodworking tasks at County facilities as directed.
• Strip and wax floors as directed.
• Clean windows and fixtures as directed.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Must be able to safely move 60 lbs.
• Must be able to safely operate custodial power equipment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively orally, including giving and receiving instructions.
• Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
• Must be able to read, understand and perform mathematical calculations to safely operate equipment and use cleaning chemicals.
• Must be able to properly use hand tools, power tools and other specialized equipment.
• Must be punctual and dependable for work shift assigned.

• Maintain valid Class C Texas driver's license and good driving record.
