The Charge Nurse plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care within the Health Care Services industry. This position involves providing direct nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring patients' comfort, safety, and well-being. The LVN/RN will be responsible for monitoring patient health, administering medications, and assisting with medical procedures, contributing to effective treatment plans. This role requires compassionate communication with patients and their families, fostering a supportive and informative environment.
Ultimately, the LVN/RN helps maintain the smooth operation of healthcare services by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes.
- Valid and current LVN/RN license in TX.
- Completion of an accredited vocational nursing program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proven experience working as an LVN/RN or in a similar nursing role.
- Strong understanding of nursing practices, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations.
- Experience working in a healthcare facility similar to the job location, such as hospitals, clinics, or long-term care facilities.
- Additional certifications such as IV therapy or wound care.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills tailored to diverse patient populations.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Provide direct patient care including monitoring vital signs, administering prescribed medications, and assisting with daily living activities.
- Document patient information accurately and timely in medical records to ensure continuity of care.
- Assist physicians and registered nurses during examinations, treatments, and medical procedures.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-treatment care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
