Pet Wants in Rockport, TX is seeking an experienced, professional Pet Groomer ready for their next chapter. We are looking for a seasoned groomer who values quality over quantity, has the confidence to run a full book independently, enjoys building relationships with clients, and wants to be part of a supportive, education-driven environment.

You won't need to spend months building a client base from scratch. You'll step into our established, loyal book of clients and have immediate work from day one. And unlike many grooming positions, this is a W-2 employee role, not an independent contractor arrangement, so you get the stability of taxes withheld, benefits, and a predictable paycheck.

• Perform breed-specific and pet trims according to client requests and company standards
• Conduct pre-groom wellness assessments andidentifypotential health concerns
• Educate pet parents on coat care, nutrition, skin health, and overall wellness
• Maintainaccurategrooming notes and client records
• Recommend grooming schedules and appropriate wellness products
• Ensure a clean, organized, and sanitary grooming environment
• Communicate professionally with clientsregardinggrooming expectations and pet needs
• Follow all safety, handling, and animal welfare protocols

• Minimum 2+ years of professional grooming experience, with a proven track record building client relationships
• Ability to complete full grooms independently, including large, double-coated, and difficult breeds
• Strong scissoring, clipping, bathing, and finishing skills
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Passion for pet health, nutrition, and wellness
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, organized, and professional
• Desire to continue learning and growing within the grooming industry
• Genuine love for animals and their well-being

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift and handle pets weighing up to 50 pounds (withassistanceavailable when needed)
• Comfortable working around water, pet hair, grooming tools, and cleaning products
• Ability to safely restrain and handle pets of varying sizes and temperaments
