Leak Detection Technician

HPC Industrial powered by Clean Harbors seeks a Leak Detection Technician to support industrial and energy clients. In this field-based role, you'll perform leak detection on pipelines, tanks, and process equipment using specialized instruments, assist with industrial cleaning, and document accurate results. You must strictly follow safety procedures, wear required PPE, and work effectively in a team in demanding outdoor and plant environments.

This position offers hands-on technical training, strong safety culture, and clear paths for advancement into specialist or supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Perform industrial leak detection on pipelines, tanks, and process equipment in utility and energy facilities
• Set up, operate, and maintain leak detection instruments and monitoring systems
• Follow strict safety procedures, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout protocols
• Document test results, prepare basic reports, and communicate findings to supervisors and clients
• Assist with industrial cleaning and environmental service tasks as needed
• Travel to customer sites and work extended or irregular hours in demanding field conditions
• Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement activities
• Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure proper operation and report defects promptly
