Duties
* Working knowledge and implementation of the District's discipline and attendance policies and procedures
* Collaborate with District school administrators, special education teachers, social workers, psychologists, and school counselors for the purpose of implementing and maintaining services and/or programs.
* Evaluate programs, case management and personnel and monitor the implementation of programs and compliance with regulations.
* Direct the Medicaid Administrative Claiming process and direct-billing of Medicaid-eligible services.
* Coordinate with outside agencies to provide services to students in outside placements.
* Supervise and train support staff for the purpose of assuring instructional practices are met for students receiving services.
* Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to determine the scope and sequence needed for services and programming for students with special needs.
* Coordinates and monitors the implementation of the strategic plan.
* Evaluate certified and support staff as assigned.
Qualifications
* Professional Educator License with Principal and LBS1 Endorsement (preferred); teaching experience in Special Education (preferred)
* Ability to interact effectively with a variety of audiences.
* Ability to collaborate and solve problems
* Maintain comprehensive knowledge of IDEA, State and Federal education laws and regulations as they pertain to special education and at-risk students.
Salary/Benefits
Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000 (based on experience)
