GENERAL PURPOSE
Molloy's Tutoring Services tutors provide students with individualized assistance for course content and assignments. Professional Tutors lead one-on-one or small-group lessons.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Work with students to help them understand key Organic Chemistry principles, especially those learned in the classroom.
* Reviewing syllabi topics and assignments with the student(s).
* Assist students with homework, test preparation and other academic tasks.
* Assist students to improve their academic performance, including study strategies, note-taking skills, and approaches to answering test questions.
* Develop and distribute teaching materials to supplement classroom lessons, including study guides.
* Providing students with positive and constructive feedback.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* Expertise in teaching at the college level would complement this role.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR PUBLIC CONTACT
* Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.
SALARY INFORMATION
When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring hourly pay rate for this position is $40.00. This hiring hourly pay rate represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
