The Assistant Director ensures professional standards and guidelines are maintained consistently by staff;
Assumes well-defined administrative duties;
Assists Director in day-to-day management of multiple laboratories;
Interacts and communicates with undergraduate, graduate and clinical nursing professors as well as students regarding practice/performance of nursing skills and simulation.
Assist the Director in developing and implementing multiple schedules (i.e., staffing, lab usage, undergraduate/graduate simulation, and simulation staffing across two campuses.
Provide leadership and guidance to Nursing Lab Instructors and Simulation Facilitators if applicable. Assist the Director in managing the day-to-day operations of the Clinical Learning Center (CLC) across two campuses as well as budgetary concerns.
Collaborate with faculty and deans in undergraduate and graduate programs. Attend faculty and departmental meetings with Director or in directors' absence. Interacts with Director of Simulation Education, Simulation Specialist, and Simulation Technician.
Liaison between instructors and Director. Participate in performance appraisals, recruitment and orientation.
Aware of best practices and trends in nursing through professional development, reading of current literature, attending conference, discussions with colleagues and partaking in professional conferences and organizations.
Bachelor's degree (BSN) Registered Nurse More than 8 years of work related experience Nursing clinical background experience Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) Databases
Master's degree
Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.
The hiring annual salary for this position is $60,000 to $70,000. This annual salary represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
