Position Summary

The Accounting Manager, General Ledger will lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close accounting processes, including preparation and review of journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations for both consolidated and non‑consolidated legal entities. The role also involves reviewing and approving calculations of intercompany agreements, royalties, bonuses, and commissions.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals, and administer salary adjustments, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Review journal entries and related supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and proper support.
  • Ensure accounting records conform to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Evaluate new or existing accounting guidance as needed.
  • Assist with documenting the company’s accounting policies and procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with financial internal controls.
  • Review monthly account reconciliations and validate the accuracy of account balances.
  • Research and resolve account discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Provide appropriate supporting documentation for account balances.
  • Supervise the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
  • Analyze financial statements and explain variances in the financial results compared to prior periods.
  • Supervise monthly consolidation eliminations and ensure accuracy.
  • Lead monthly P&L fluctuation analysis with the leadership team.
  • Coordinate with Finance Operations, Legal, and Tax to ensure intercompany agreements are updated for changes to company operations.
  • Review intercompany agreements, royalty, bonus and commission calculations to ensure amounts are correct and in compliance with legal documents and company policy.
  • Review related party transactions and ensure intercompany relationships are properly eliminated in consolidation.
  • Review monthly, quarterly and annual debt compliance schedules to ensure accuracy and conformity with loan documentation.
  • Supervise revenue allocations for bundled performance obligations in accordance with Accounting Standards Codification 606.
  • Direct the General Ledger team to create closing schedules and procedures, resolving issues that impact the timeliness and reliability of financial results.
  • Assist with year‑end audit process, ad hoc reporting, and financial analyses as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or MBA.
  • Minimum of five years of experience within public and corporate accounting; experience with multinational operations preferred.
  • Two years of management experience.
  • CPA preferred.
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals, including GAAP; knowledge of government accounting standards a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, evaluate complex data, and develop recommendations and action plans.
  • Strong understanding of multi‑entity and multi‑currency accounting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, collaborating well across all organizational levels.
  • Hands‑on leader capable of building strong teams and attracting and developing exceptional talent.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time‑management skills, managing multiple, often changing priorities and issues of varying complexity while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to perform ad hoc reporting and other tasks as needed in a demanding financial environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite; advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP experience required (JD Edwards preferred).
Physical Demands

Frequent sitting and standing for long periods; occasional walking, use of hands and fingers to operate tools or controls, and reaching with hands and arms. Requires communication, information exchange, equipment use, and movement within the office.

Work Environment

Traditional office environment with a hybrid schedule possible.

Compensation Summary

Annual base salary ranges from $101,400 to $154,650, with additional discretionary or non‑discretionary bonus potential based on performance.…
