Omni Staffing is representing a respected, multi‑disciplinary tax and legal practice seeking an experienced International Tax Compliance Manager. This role leads complex U.S. and cross‑border tax compliance engagements for individuals, multinational businesses, and foreign entities.
Sitting at the intersection of technical compliance, advisory support, and team leadership, this position works closely with international tax attorneys, CPAs, and senior advisors. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in U.S. international tax reporting regimes and the ability to convert complex requirements into practical, client‑ready deliverables.
Key Responsibilities International Tax Compliance & Advisory- Manage and review advanced international tax filings, including:
- Forms 5471, 5472, 8865, 8938, 926, 1116, 1120‑F, 1040 with international disclosures, 3520 & 3520‑A
- FBAR (FinCEN Form 114)
- PFIC analysis and reporting (Form 8621)
- Streamlined Filing Compliance Procedures & Delinquent International Information Return submissions
- Oversee inbound and outbound structures involving individuals and entities.
- Identify and analyze issues related to Subpart F, GILTI, foreign tax credits, withholding, and treaty positions.
- Collaborate with attorneys on planning, voluntary disclosures, and remediation of historic noncompliance.
- Serve as a primary contact for international tax compliance clients.
- Communicate complex tax concepts clearly and professionally.
- Assist with engagement scoping, timelines, and client expectations.
- Identify additional compliance or advisory service opportunities.
- Supervise, mentor, and review work from staff and senior associates.
- Train team members on international tax reporting rules and best practices.
- Manage multiple concurrent engagements and deadlines.
- Collaborate across accounting, legal, and advisory teams.
- Develop and refine internal processes, workflow systems, and compliance checklists.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and risk mitigation across all filings.
- Stay current on U.S. and international tax law updates, IRS guidance, and enforcement trends.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA, EA, or Master’s in Taxation strongly preferred
- 7+ years of experience in U.S. international tax compliance (public accounting, law firm, or professional services)
- Proven experience managing complex international information reporting
- Strong technical research, writing, and analytical capabilities
- Exceptional organizational and project‑management skills
