Actual place of performance is to be determined by the Government; however, work is anticipated within the National Capital Region (NCR).
Duties & Responsibilities:- Receive and resolve or assign emails from a resource mailbox regarding fingerprint result inquiries, requests, status updates, and general inquiries related to Child Abuse & Neglect (CA/N) checks.
- Apply knowledge of Adobe, fingerprint result databases, case processing databases, SharePoint, and government document review.
- Complete various duties to support DCS operations, including reviewing documentation, assigning cases, replying from resource mailboxes, performing data entry, filing hardcopy case packets, preparing packets for offsite archival, logging incoming mail (e.g., USPS, UPS, FEDEX), and requesting monetary checks from contractors.
- Review inquiries from Child Abuse & Neglect (CA/N) checks for U.S. states, territories, and CPS Registries and assign or resolve them.
- Demonstrate ability to follow 50+ procedures related to childcare checks.
- Process 254 or more fingerprint check case email inquiries monthly, responding or closing within two business days.
- Process 5,262 or more CA/N check email inquiries monthly, responding or closing within two business days.
- Organize and file 1,860 or more DCS hard copy files monthly.
- Request, track, and provide program staff up to 417 monetary checks from vendors for CA/N Checks requiring physical payment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
(KSAs):
- Work effectively with government leadership, technical personnel, and contractor staff.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate high volume work.
- Proficient with Adobe, SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, and case management databases.
Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, not required.
- Five (5) years of relevant experience managing programs and/or projects.
- Administrative support in a federal government or contractor environment.
- Support of child welfare, personnel security, background investigations, or case management programs.
- Managing shared resource mailboxes and responding to customer inquiries.
- Reviewing documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Maintaining electronic and hardcopy case files.
- Coordinating with Care Providers, Child Protective Services (CPS), or other government stakeholders.
- Handling Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and other sensitive information.
- Managing multiple priorities while meeting performance metrics.
Must be able to successfully pass a background check, and pre‑employment drug testing. Job offers are contingent upon results of background check and drug testing.
