We are currently looking for a seasoned Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead interior renovations, tenant improvements, and various commercial build-out assignments across the Washington, DC region.
This role requires a proactive leader who thrives in the field. You will be responsible for directing daily site activities, managing subcontractor teams, and maintaining clear communication with project managers and clients to ensure all work is completed safely and on schedule.

Core Responsibilities- Direct all daily field activities at commercial construction sites.
- Facilitate the work of vendors, trades, and subcontractors to ensure seamless site operations.
- Analyze project blueprints, technical specifications, and work scopes to keep the project on track.
- Ensure project timelines are met by proactively identifying and reporting potential schedule conflicts.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to optimize manpower, material procurement, and overall project requirements.
- Perform routine site inspections to ensure high standards of workmanship and quality control.
- Resolve field-related challenges by collaborating with the broader project team to implement effective solutions.
- Facilitate necessary inspections to verify that all construction adheres to design plans and regulatory codes.
- Promote a professional and orderly job site environment.
- Uphold a culture of safety by enforcing all project and company-wide safety protocols.
- Streamline the project closeout process by efficiently managing punch-list completion.
- Foster positive relationships through professional communication with architects, clients, and project stakeholders.
- Minimize tenant disruption by carefully coordinating construction efforts within active, occupied buildings.
- Improve project transparency by maintaining detailed and accurate daily field documentation.
- Proven background in a leadership capacity, such as Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or Foreman within the commercial construction sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in commercial interiors, tenant improvements, and office build-outs is highly valued.
- Proficiency in interpreting complex construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Deep knowledge of commercial construction sequencing and workflows.
- Experience managing and synchronizing multiple subcontractor trades simultaneously.
- Strong organizational capabilities and an aptitude for creative problem-solving.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate direct and effective client interactions.
- Capacity to commute between various job sites located throughout DC, Maryland, and parts of Virginia.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and dependable personal transportation.
- Completion of OSHA safety training is considered an asset.
