Branch Member Service Associate; Part-Time; Rockville, MD

Job Summary

As a Part‑time Branch Member Service Associate you will deliver exceptional customer service in our branches while successfully promoting and selling NASA FCU products and services. You will be trained through a tiered program to advance your career and receive a solid compensation package plus part‑time benefits.

• Empathize with members and provide solutions to make it easy for members to acquire and effectively use NASA FCU products and services.
• Identify member needs and provide solutions on products that meet those needs and facilitate the member’s financial security.
• Respond to member inquiries regarding account operation, interest rates, account discrepancies, credit, debit and ATM cards, and loan applications.
• Process a variety of financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, funds transfers, loan payments, check orders, share certificates, ACH/payroll/direct deposit, wire transfers, and stop‑payment setups.
• Handle complex member situations such as deceased member, guardian ships, and representative‑payee accounts.
• Process consumer loan applications, including document collection and disbursement.
• Advise members regarding available insurance protection (life, disability, gap, etc.).
• Temporary assignment to other branches or departments (call center) as business needs dictate.
• Support call center queues (phone and email).
• Travel to other locations on a needed basis; reliable transportation required.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum one year of customer service experience with cash handling or bank/credit‑union/financial call‑center knowledge/experience with financial products. Cash handling experience required.
• Experience opening personal accounts such as savings, checking, CDs, money market.
• Experience with specialty accounts such as trusts, power of attorney, custodial, guardianship, estate, and foreign accounts.
• Experience with sales/cross‑selling.

Salary: Position is overtime eligible.
Branch MSA I: $21 – $22 per hour
Branch MSA II: $23 – $24.50 per hour

Hours: Typically, your schedule will include four weekdays (hours vary with branch staffing needs). Part‑time employees are scheduled to work 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM every Saturday.
