Smith Jewish Day School, a pluralistic community Jewish day school, seeks qualified candidates to fill potential openings for the position of Lower School Judaic Studies Substitute Teacher in grades Junior K-5 for the current academic year. Part-time and full-day assignments; compensation at $20.00 hourly. Great job for positive people interested in being a part of a wonderful learning community.

• Experience and/or interest in developing skills with supporting students’ proficiency in Hebrew language and content knowledge in Judaic studies areas
• Takes initiative
• Highly responsible
• Flexible and adaptable to changing situations
• Work with students across elementary school grade levels
• Collaborative team player
• Patient, calm, and supportive in high-intensity situations
• Excellent command of Hebrew language, native Hebrew speaker preferred

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Degree in Education or related field, preferred.
• Fluency in Hebrew
