Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide high quality private and group lessons in our retail store. In this role, you will teach beginning and intermediate students on band, orchestra, or contemporary instruments, create lesson plans, track student progress, and communicate regularly with parents and school partners. You'll collaborate with store staff to support events, recitals, and student recruiting, and help maintain a welcoming, safe, and inclusive studio environment that reflects our mission to expand access to music education in the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and small group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Develop individualized lesson plans and select appropriate repertoire and method materials
• Assess and track student progress, providing clear feedback to students and parents
• Maintain regular communication with parents, guardians, and school partners about goals and achievements
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, festivals, and school performances
• Collaborate with retail staff to support in store events and lesson program growth
• Uphold a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment in the studio
• Manage lesson schedules, attendance, and basic student records
• Care for and appropriately use store instruments, equipment, and teaching spaces
• Promote Music & Arts programs and services in a professional, student focused manner
