The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Retention, Progression, and Completion (RPC) Coordinator [R0153564].

The Graduate College is seeking a dedicated, student-centered Retention, Progression, and Completion (RPC) Coordinator to manage an assigned caseload and serve as the primary expert for students, faculty, and staff within designated colleges and programs. In this role, you will autonomously guide graduate students through their academic milestones and certify degree completions across 175+ microcredential, certificate, and degree programs. You will independently evaluate complex academic records, including transcripts, foreign credentials, transfer credits, and GPAs, to ensure all graduation requirements are met.

Serving as a policy expert, you will provide non-academic guidance to help students and faculty navigate complex institutional requirements, effectively manage gray areas, resolve progression challenges, and apply sound judgment when evaluating unique policy exceptions or appeal processes. Beyond degree audits, you will support equity-minded retention and student success programs, such as the Building Resilient and Inclusive Discoveries Graduate Education (BRIDGE) program, while conducting policy trainings and managing non-enrollment separations.

You will support and enforce secure, FERPA-compliant electronic record management, create and maintain plan of study documents per WCAG standards to ensure document accessibility for all, audit operational processes to streamline workflows, and represent the Graduate College on university committees. Working alongside leadership, you will track key unit metrics and collaborate with internal and external institutional partners to advance university retention and graduation goals.

• This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and 1-3 years of experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date.

• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.
• 3-5 years of related professional experience in higher education.
• Proficiency with Salesforce, People Soft, and SAS Analytics Software.
• Strong understanding of graduate student practices and trends, as well as knowledge of retention and graduation policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Familiarity with NSHE and UNLV academic policies and procedures, including collaboration with International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) on federal regulations for student visa compliance.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling complex information and critical thinking.
• Ability to make independent, sound decisions and exercise good judgment in situations with significant consequences.
• Strong multitasking abilities with the capacity to independently prioritize work and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines in a team-oriented environment.
