- Probabilistic Risk Assessment – create and maintain PRA models using ASME/ANS RA‑S‑1.4‑2021 and other industry standards; revise and review PRA documents; apply PRA results to inform design and licensing.
- Develop screening methods, risk‑informed supplemental evaluations, and PRA models for different plant operating modes, radionuclide sources, and multi‑reactor considerations.
- Conduct nuclear safety analysis:
- Lead system‑level thermal‑fluid analyses and process design using 1‑D system simulation codes.
- Guide source term analyses and radiological consequence analysis.
- Develop models to support licensing basis event analysis and evaluations.
- Perform elementary mathematical model programming for engineering calculations and develop code V&V plans.
- Interpret, apply, and assess relevant standards, ensuring correct software version usage and documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering, project leadership, and safety analysis team to provide frequent updates, maintain priorities, and address project concerns.
