Electrical Project Engineer

Dynamic role responsible for the management and delivery of electrical systems designs for buildings. Successful candidate will possess capability to work independently in order to complete the majority of projects assigned, from proposal / conceptual design through close out, with limited assistance from a Senior Engineer or Director.

• Support the electrical design of systems for various building types and project scopes - including power systems, lighting, fire alarm, technology, communication, and other electrical components for buildings
• Ensuring that electrical designs meet building codes, safety standards, and regulations set by local authorities and that drawings and designs are in accordance with company production and design standards
• Working closely with architects, structural engineers, and other professionals to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into building designs.
• Incorporating energy-efficient technologies and practices into electrical designs to minimize energy consumption and environmental impact.
• Estimating the costs associated with electrical designs and ensuring that projects stay within budget constraints.
• Overseeing the testing and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure they function properly and meet performance requirements.
• Troubleshooting electrical issues that arise during the design, construction, or operation of buildings.
• Creating detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for electrical systems to guide construction and maintenance activities.
• Keeping up-to-date with advancements in electrical engineering technologies, building codes, and industry standards.
• Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks for lighting, power and fire alarm systems
• Collaborate with Technical Leaders and Sr. Engineers to ensure adherence to WB standards and appropriate workload management and deviations in project scope or additional services
• Attend project meetings and site visits

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar
• Equivalent of 5-10 years of relevant professional experience. Preferably in the MEP consulting space
• Revit experience preferred, high proficiency in AutoCAD
• Comprehensive understanding of applicable design and building codes
