The State Highway Administration's (SHA) District 4 (Baltimore County) is currently recruiting for a Traffic Engineer (Transportation Engineer III) position. This position is open to anyone who meets the minimum and selective qualifications listed below. All eligible candidates must meet the minimum and selective qualifications by the closing date. This is a position specific recruitment. The resulting list of eligible candidates will be used to fill this vacancy or function only.

This position will assist the Team Leader and the Assistant District Engineer of Traffic in the preparation of highway construction projects for advertisement. This position will respond to citizens for traffic related concerns including but not limited to signs, pavement markings, flex posts, speed, sidewalk, crosswalk, streetlights, traffic signals, and various operational issues which involve significant coordination with various SHA support divisions, engineering design consultants, other state and county agencies, and community representatives throughout the project development process.
