Overview

We are seeking a motivated Structural Engineer to join our team in a role that offers strong mentorship and growth. This opportunity is open to candidates at a variety of experience levels, including early-career engineers (0-10 years of experience), with a degree in engineering and an EIT or PE (or working toward licensure). Internship experience in structural engineering is highly valued.

In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience across all phases of projects-from initial design through construction administration-while working alongside a collaborative and supportive team.

What You'll Do

+ Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, analyses, and construction cost estimates

+ Support construction activities through shop drawing reviews, RFIs, and site observations

+ Collaborate closely with architects, designers, and contractors throughout project life cycles

+ Participate in occasional site visits and inspections

What We're Looking For

+ Degree in Engineering (required)

+ 0-10 years of experience in structural engineering (early-career candidates encouraged to apply)

+ EIT or PE license (or actively pursuing)

+

Experience with vertical structural design (steel, concrete, masonry; wood is a plus)

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD

Additional Qualifications

+ Exposure to both vertical and horizontal structural projects is a plus

This is a Permanent position based out of Rockville, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.

MCE HOLIDAYS New Year's Day Memorial Day 4th of July Labor Day Thanksgiving Day Day after Thanksgiving Christmas ESOP This is currently the firm's primary retirement plan. Individual contributions are not allowed. The contribution varies from year to year based on economic conditions. Employees who serve 1001 hours in a given calendar year are generally eligible to participate. Vesting is over a six-year period being 0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100%.

AFLAC Voluntary health insurance plan sponsored by MCE and paid for by the employee.
