DEVOPS ENGINEER

As a Dev Ops Engineer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customer. You will play a crucial role in engineering a modernization effort to converge our customer’s authoring, dissemination, and other supporting tools.

• Engineer a modernization effort to converge authoring, dissemination, and other supporting tools.
• Deploy applications, install and configure complex software, manage network servers, and configure technology tools.
• Monitor and maintain system performance and troubleshoot issues and outages.
• Deploy and manage Docker Swarm, Docker Compose, and distributed web applications using Git Lab CI/CD.
• Provision virtual machines and scripts with Terraform and Ansible.
• Maintain and configure NiFi, Elasticsearch, HAProxy, MongoDB, and Java/Spring Boot applications.
• Participate in rotating pager schedule for 24/7 emergency support (approx. one week per 4‑6 weeks).

• Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline.
• 15+ years of related experience.
• Strong Dev Ops background with Linux, AWS, MASH, VMs, Docker Swarm, Docker Compose, Git Lab CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible.
• Security clearance TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• US citizenship.

• Python scripting and development.
• NiFi, Elasticsearch, Java/Spring Boot (troubleshooting error logs).
• HAProxy, MongoDB.

• Competitive salary range: $164,382 – $212,750 (subject to experience, location).
