Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer with expertise in Power Integrity (PI) to support the development of advanced, high-performance electrical systems for aerospace, defence, communications, and other mission‑critical applications.

In this role, you will be part of a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for the complete lifecycle of electrical power systems, from requirements development and architecture definition through design, verification, testing, operational support, and anomaly resolution. You will play a key role in ensuring robust power delivery, system reliability, and overall electrical performance in a complex, high‑reliability environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain unit‑ and subsystem‑level technical requirements.
  • Lead engineering trade studies, architecture development activities, and interface definition efforts.
  • Support system‑level integration activities and ensure alignment between electrical, mechanical, and software disciplines.
  • Contribute to system design reviews and technical decision‑making processes.
Design & Analysis
  • Support detailed electrical design activities, including review and development of schematics, PCB layout, technical drawings, and bills of materials (BOM).
  • Perform electrical and power system analyses, including:
Power Integrity (PI), transient analysis, worst‑case circuit analysis, derating analysis, voltage‑drop analysis, grounding and bonding analysis.
  • Conduct DC, AC, and transient PI assessments, including IR‑drop analysis, impedance target validation, load‑step response analysis, resonance identification and mitigation.
  • Develop and optimize decoupling strategies using bulk, ceramic, and embedded capacitance solutions across multiple frequency ranges.
  • Analyze and improve Power Distribution Network (PDN) performance and robustness.
Verification & Validation
  • Define and execute PDN validation plans, including impedance measurements, load‑step tests, performance verification, and acceptance, qualification, and verification testing activities.
  • Develop test procedures, support equipment requirements, and test documentation.
  • Oversee test execution and generate detailed technical reports.
Operational Support & Problem Solving
  • Lead failure investigations and support root‑cause analysis activities.
  • Investigate electrical anomalies identified during development, testing, manufacturing, or operational phases.
  • Support corrective action implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review operational performance data and provide technical recommendations for system improvements.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of electrical power system architecture, design, and analysis.
  • Familiarity with power system components such as batteries, electrical interconnects, and harnesses, renewable or distributed power generation technologies.
  • Experience with Power Distribution Network (PDN) simulation and analysis tools such as Keysight PI, Cadence Sigrity, Ansys SIwe, and SPICE‑based simulation environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical projects, work packages, or engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3–7 years of experience in electrical power systems design, development, and verification within aerospace, defence, telecommunications, semiconductor, automotive, energy, or other high‑reliability industries.
  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, ideally with a focus on Power Electronics, Power Systems, or Electrical Energy Conversion.
  • Experience developing and validating complex Power Distribution Networks (PDNs).
  • Knowledge of high‑reliability electronics design methodologies and industry standards.
  • Experience supporting products through development, qualification, production, and operational deployment phases.
  • Familiarity with mission‑critical or safety‑critical electrical systems.
