Systems Engineer Security Clearance

Systems Engineer candidate must have an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

• Support the operation and maintenance of ground segment system engineering architecture/design.
• Analyze and implement key interface control documents by tracing to ground requirements and design.
• Support trade studies, performance analyses, risk and opportunity assessments.
• Oversee and guide the management of ground segment capabilities/requirements – allocation, verification, and validation.
• Provide support to ground segment software development and cyber security initiatives.
• Analyze and establish verification attributes for requirements/capabilities (verification test method, level, approach, success criteria, and test requirements).
• Develop use cases and trace artifacts to architecture constructs.
• Provide leadership/mentorship of technical teams to define, direct implementation, and operate complex ground systems.
• Provide engineering support across multiple mission partners by tailoring concepts to meet partner needs.
• Prepare and give presentations to peers, management, and customers.
• Work collaboratively in a cross‑discipline environment with both the internal ground segment team and external customers.

• Associate Engineer (CT7):
  Entry‑level to experienced, with an advanced degree and 0 years of experience or bachelor’s degree and 0‑2+ years or equivalent.
• Engineer 1 (CT8):
  Career level, advanced degree and 3+ years of experience or bachelor’s and 5+ years or equivalent.
• Senior Engineer (CT9):
  Emerging authority, advanced degree and 7+ years of experience or bachelor’s and 9+ years or equivalent; extensive expertise.
• Principal Engineer (CT10):
  Expert, authority in discipline, advanced degree and 12+ years of experience or bachelor’s and 14+ years or equivalent.
• Engineer Consultant (CT11):
  Senior consultant to top management, advanced degree and 18+ years of experience or bachelor’s and 20+ years or equivalent.

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Strong background in ground segment engineering and systems architecture.
• Experience with interface control documents, trade studies, risk assessments, and verification processes.
• Leadership and mentorship skills for technical teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

• Salary range in Maryland: $75,000 to $260,000, based on qualifications and experience.
