Energy Engineer

At CLEAResult, we are seeking an Energy Engineer to support the development and delivery of energy efficiency programs. This position is remotely based in Maryland, but applicants must reside in Central or Western Maryland to support local clientele.

• Support the development and delivery of energy efficiency programs by providing engineering calculations, building energy simulations, measurement and verification, and utility program technical design and assistance.
• Lead the design and development of technical strategies, conduct analyses to recommend energy savings, and develop plans and reporting that contribute to the success of client programs.
• Write and inform technical documents and publications, and conduct quality reviews of content.
• Provide general project oversight, quality control/assurance, and continuously update customers and project teams on necessary adjustments.
• Support business development efforts and proactively seek new project opportunities.
• Calculate energy savings for projects using standard engineering principles (physics, mechanics, fan laws, thermodynamics, algebra, and statistics).
• Assist experienced engineers in calculator and tool development, training material creation, and additional projects as needed.

• BS in Engineering or related field.
• 0+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations and simulations for energy projects.
• Experience with calculator and tool development and training material creation.
• Eligible to pass a post‑offer, pre‑employment drug test and a motor vehicle report, and to hold a valid driver’s license if required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Target compensation: $70,000 – $80,000 (salary may vary based on experience and qualifications).
