Electronics Engineer, Electronics Technician, Electrical Engineering
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lab Manager to oversee our state-of-the-art design and development laboratory. In this role, you will be the backbone of our engineering operations, ensuring our hardware teams have a safe, organized, and fully calibrated environment to design, prototype, and test next-generation satellite communication (Satcom) equipment.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks- Asset Tracking: Catalog all lab hardware, prototypes, and high-value RF/digital test equipment.
- Calibration: Schedule routine calibration and repairs for VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
- Inventory Control: Restock lab consumables, RF cables, connectors, and electronic components.
- ESD & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean lab layout and enforce strict ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protocols.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce OSHA standards, chemical safety (solvents, flux), and waste disposal.
- Prototyping Support: Assist with PCBA rework, precision soldering, and custom RF/power cabling.
- Purchasing: Manage purchase orders (POs) for new lab tools, components, and software licenses.
- Vendor Relations: Coordinate with equipment manufacturers and calibration labs.
- Shipping & Handling: Manage and process domestic and international shipping and handling related inquiries.
- Climate Control: Monitor lab temperature and humidity levels critical for sensitive RF testing.
- Access & Training: Manage lab access and train new engineers on equipment safety policies.
- Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Experience: 3+ years managing an electronics, R&D, or RF test laboratory.

Practical knowledge of RF test gear, connectors, and high-frequency safety. - Hands-on
Skills:
Excellent soldering and rework skills (IPC or J-STD certifications a plus). - Tools: Proficient with inventory management software and spreadsheets.
- Experience with shipping and handling packages both domestically and internationally.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on computers.
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
- Must be able to lift up to at least 50 pounds at times.
- Ability to traverse to multiple locations.
