Senior Land Surveyor

Our key client based in Montgomery County, MD is looking for a Senior Surveyor who wants to lead people, manage projects, and grow within a strong and supportive firm. This role offers the chance to work on meaningful projects while mentoring others and building long-term client relationships.

• Lead survey teams in the field and in the office
• Manage projects from start to finish
• Work with clients, engineers, and designers
• Help train and guide younger staff
• Make sure projects are accurate, on time, and on budget

• Plan and manage all parts of survey projects
• Supervise field crews and office technicians
• Review boundary, ALTA, topographic, and construction surveys
• Work closely with engineering teams on shared projects
• Track budgets, schedules, and quality control
• Check plats, legal descriptions, and right-of-way documents
• Serve as main contact for clients on survey work
• Help bring in new technology and better work methods

• Degree in surveying, geomatics, or related field (or similar experience)
• At least 5 years of land surveying experience
• Maryland PLS license preferred (LSIT also considered)
• Experience leading teams and managing projects
• Skills in Civil 3D, Microstation, Carlson, or similar software
• Strong communication and client skills
• Able to balance technical work with business goals
