X-energy LLC is hiring a Plant & Process System Manager.
Job Profile- Manages the execution of the designing and developing plant mechanical systems using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
- Manages the identification and mitigation of design conflicts using 3D software.
- Manages the utilization of engineering resources across multiple projects and ensures qualified engineers are performing assigned work.
- Oversee project design cycle sprints to ensure the convergence of efforts of engineering team members, partners, and suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality engineering work products are on schedule as defined by the Project leadership.
- Manages engineering staff by ensuring staff are meeting expectations and promoting staff professional development.
- Supports the Business Development workgroup providing technical resources when needed and engaging with potential future clients to promote marketing of the X-energy products and/or technologies.
- Influences the development of strategy, methodology and technical tools for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and policy formulation.
- Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, tools, or services.
- Uses high level of judgement to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operations, project management, technology, or engineering.
- Assesses quality of information given and asks pertinent questions to stakeholders.
- Offers new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and can construct and provide recommendations.
- Work within a multidisciplinary engineering team to create the next generation nuclear power plants.
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with design control procedures, ensuring thorough documentation of work, and control of product design configuration data.
- Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
- Perform other duties as assigned by direct manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or systems engineering or related discipline from an accredited university or college.
- Typically, ten years of engineering experience.
- Graduate degrees typically count as two plus years of experience.
- Requires specialized knowledge within the function of mechanical engineering or systems engineering, related to system requirements, system physical architecture, integrated system design, technical data management, and technical risk management.
- Experience in managing the development of integrated power plant mechanical systems.
- Experience working on large EPC or EP projects.
- Experience working in the nuclear industry.
- Experience leading and mentoring design engineers.
- Knowledge of ASME piping and pressure vessel codes (e.g., B31.1 and ASME BPVC).

4 days a week in office
Travel Expectations:
Up to 10% as needed

8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday
