Our rapidly growing company is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Permanent Project Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting + Finance team. This role will be a crucial part of our organization, contributing significantly to our financial operations and strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our projects, with a specific focus on real estate, cost, and development.

Responsibilities
Oversee the financial management of various projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.Conduct thorough financial analysis and prepare detailed reports for management, highlighting key financial indicators, potential risks, and opportunities.Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate and timely tracking of project costs, including labor, materials, and overheads.Implement and maintain robust financial controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and improve financial efficiency.Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.Participate in the financial planning and budgeting process, ensuring alignment with project objectives and company goals.Manage and reconcile project-related accounts in the general ledger.Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process for project accounts.Monitor and analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, and utilization.Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or CMA certification is highly desirable.A minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting or a similar role, preferably within the real estate or development industry.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide clear, concise reports and recommendations.Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex financial information to non-financial colleagues.High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.Knowledge of cost control principles and risk analysis is essential.Experience with financial modeling and forecasting is a plus.Interested in hearing more?
