We are seeking a Senior Associate with specialized expertise in financial services policy. Senior Associates are responsible for developing unique investment ideas grounded in rigorous policy analysis for our client base, which includes capital market and private equity investors. They interact regularly with politicians, regulators, and other policymakers, as well as investors across the U.S. financial services sector.

The ideal candidate will bring at least two years of relevant professional experience
, exceptional analytical skills, creativity, and a demonstrated interest in both policy and financial markets. A successful Senior Associate will be a highly qualified professional able to take ownership of projects, provide differentiated insights, and thrive in Capstone’s intense but rewarding, meritocratic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop value-oriented investment ideas through deep policy and market analysis
  • Clearly articulate differentiated viewpoints backed by robust research
  • Engage with policymakers, regulators, and industry leaders to assess policy developments
  • Collaborate with clients to deliver actionable insights on the U.S. financial services sector
  • Manage multiple work streams independently while contributing to team-wide initiatives
Qualifications
  • Intelligence and creativity in problem-solving
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to express opinions clearly in both written and verbal formats
  • Client servicing and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders
  • Proven ability to develop high-quality, differentiated investment ideas
  • Self-motivation and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, independent work environment
  • Passion for combining policy and politics with investing
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred but not required
  • At least two years of experience in consulting, investment banking, policy analysis, or a related field
  • High academic achievement
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with other analytical tools a plus
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, eligible to work without sponsorship
