To provide administrative supervision of the regional CD operations, including Community Field Operations, Command Center, and GPS/CDRR Rapid Response Teams. The Administrator works directly with Executive Directors of Community Operations to ensure departmental goals are met and CD/GPS standard operating procedures are followed. Responsibilities also include working closely with teams to ensure compliance, managing On‑Call Administrative duties due to 24/7 operational needs, and being available 24/7 to respond to EM/GPS needs.
Minimum Qualifications- High school graduation or high‑school equivalency.
- Six years of administrative staff or professional work.
- Substitution options: 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to four years of the required experience;
bachelor’s degree with two years of experience
; master’s degree with five years of experience
; or U.S. Armed Forces commissioned officer experience involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policy, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Six years of experience in Community Detention Operations.
- Two years of planning/supervisory experience in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Reliability and flexibility in meeting staffing, scheduling, and attendance requirements within a mission‑critical or public safety setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to engage stakeholders and convey operational expectations and policy requirements.
Employees may be assigned duties requiring operation of a motor vehicle. A valid Maryland motor vehicle operator’s license is required.
